Terms of Participation — Into The Amazon

Participation

Into The Amazon organizes small-group journeys of up to six participants. Participation requires agreement to these terms, which will be provided in writing before any payment is requested.

What is included

Full details of what is and is not included will be confirmed in the journey agreement. Typically included: accommodation at the jungle camp, all meals during the journey, local transport, guide services, and the community visit. Not included: international flights, travel insurance, visa costs.

Health and fitness

Participants are responsible for ensuring they are in adequate health for the journey. INTO AMAZON is not a medical provider and does not screen participants for medical conditions. We strongly recommend consulting a doctor before joining.

Cancellation

Cancellation terms will be outlined in the journey agreement before payment. As this is a small-group program, late cancellations have a real impact and we ask that you consider this before inquiring.

Liability

Into The Amazon takes reasonable precautions for participant safety. The Amazon basin is an inherently unpredictable environment. Participants accept a degree of risk appropriate to wilderness travel. Travel insurance covering medical evacuation is strongly recommended.

Photography and data

Participants must not photograph or publish images of local community members without explicit consent. Into The Amazon reserves the right to photograph the journey for non-commercial documentary purposes. Participants who do not wish to be photographed should notify their guide at the start of the journey.
